About FARMS.MARKET
FARMS.MARKET is a free U.S. directory of local farmers markets. Some deployments also show family farms. There are no platform, listing, claim, or transaction fees. Find markets near you on the interactive map, browse listing details, and get directions without creating an account.
Market managers can submit listing requests and claims for review. Approved owners can edit descriptions, contact details, hours, organization, and season details from their profile. When farm features are enabled, farms get pages connected to the markets they attend. The sitemap lists markets by U.S. state. For questions, corrections, or additions, use the contact page.

Finding Farmers Markets
How do I find a farmers market near me?
Open the FARMS.MARKET map and allow location access to sort available listings by distance. You can also search by market name, city, or keyword or switch to list view. To browse by state, use the sitemap. You do not need an account or payment to search.
Is FARMS.MARKET free to use?
Yes. FARMS.MARKET charges no platform, listing, claim, subscription, or transaction fees. Searching the map, viewing the market directory, getting directions, and reading listing details do not require payment. An account lets you save listings and use submission, claim, report, profile, export, and deletion tools. Browsing does not require an account.
What information does each market page show?
A market page can show reported hours, address, products, payment methods, food-assistance programs, production methods, vendor count, and contact links when those details are available. You can open Google Maps directions, copy an available address, save or share the market, or move to the previous or next market. Browse the market directory.
How is FARMS.MARKET different from the USDA directory?
FARMS.MARKET is a free, map-first directory with search, favorites, listing requests, and claims. When farm features are enabled, the map can also show farms and their market links. We review claims before granting owners access to the listing editor. Learn more about our mission.
For Shoppers
Are farmers markets cheaper than grocery stores?
It depends on the product, vendor, season, and location. FARMS.MARKET does not publish current prices. Ask vendors for prices before you buy.
What can I buy at a farmers market?
Farmers markets may sell fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, meat, dairy, honey, baked goods, jams, flowers, plants, and prepared foods. Offerings change by vendor, week, and season. A FARMS.MARKET listing may show reported product types. Ask the market or its vendors what they have now.
What days and hours are farmers markets open?
Most farmers markets run on set days during a growing season, while some operate year-round or hold winter or holiday markets. Hours vary. Check the market page, then confirm important details with the market before you go because directory information can change.
Can I favorite or save markets I like?
Yes. Create an account and tap the heart on a market page to save it. Your saved markets appear on your profile. Sign-in uses your email and a six-digit code, not a password.
SNAP/EBT, WIC & Food Assistance
Do farmers markets take EBT/SNAP?
Some farmers markets accept SNAP/EBT, but participation and redemption methods vary. A market page may list its food-assistance programs. Confirm current acceptance and how to use benefits with the market before you visit.
What can I buy with SNAP/EBT at a farmers market?
SNAP can cover eligible foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, and food-producing seeds and plants. It does not cover alcohol or most non-food items. Rules and redemption methods can change, so check USDA's SNAP food rules and ask the market how it handles SNAP/EBT.
How does Double Up Food Bucks or Market Match work?
These programs may match some SNAP spending for eligible produce. Match rates, caps, products, and participating locations vary. Ask the market or program operator for current terms. A market page may list the food-assistance programs reported for that market.
Can I use WIC or Senior FMNP checks at a farmers market?
Some authorized markets accept WIC or Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program benefits for eligible foods. Programs, seasons, and benefit formats vary. Check current program rules and confirm participation with the market before shopping.
For Farmers Market Managers & Owners
How do I list or add my farmers market on FARMS.MARKET?
Submitting a market is free. Use the contact form and choose "Add a Market." Sign in, enter the listing details, and submit them for review. If your market already appears as unclaimed, open its market page and start the claim flow instead.
How do I claim my farmers market listing?
If your market shows as unclaimed, sign in, open its market page, and select "Claim Market." We review the claim before linking the listing to your account and granting editing access. The six-digit sign-in code confirms access to your email address. It does not prove that you own or run the market. Claiming is free.
What can I edit once I claim my market?
After approval, open your market from your profile to edit its description, organization, contact details, hours, and season details. Saved edits can appear publicly. Changes to the name, page address, and main location need review. Editing a listing does not improve its distance rank, which comes from the searcher's location and the listing location.
How much does it cost to list or claim a market?
Nothing. FARMS.MARKET charges no fee to submit, claim, or edit a farmers market listing. There are no listing fees, subscriptions, platform fees, or commissions.
Something on a market page is wrong — how do I report it?
Sign in, open the market page, and use "Report Issue" to flag the affected sections and describe the correction. You can also send a note through the contact form. A report goes to review and does not guarantee a change or response date.
For Farms
Can I add my farm to FARMS.MARKET?
Farm features depend on the deployment and may be unavailable outside development. When enabled, farms can have pages with descriptions, products, production methods, sales channels, markets attended, and contact links. Use the contact form to submit a farm if the "Add a Farm" option appears. Approved owners can edit descriptions, contact details, and hours from their profile.
What is the regenerative badge?
When farm features are enabled, a regenerative badge can mark a listing whose data identifies regenerative production methods. Treat the badge as a directory field, not an inspection or certification by FARMS.MARKET. Learn more about our mission.
Accounts & Privacy
Do I need an account to use FARMS.MARKET?
No. Browsing markets, viewing details, and getting directions require no account. An account lets you save listings, record shares, submit claims and reports, track listing requests, edit profile fields, export account data, and delete your account. Approved owners can also edit their listings. Sign-in uses your email and a six-digit code.
How do I sign in or create an account?
Enter your email and we'll send a six-digit code to sign you in. There is no password. The code confirms access to the email address, not ownership of a listed business. Your profile shows account fields, saved and owned listings, pending claims, and listing requests. It also lets you download your data, sign out, or delete your account.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes. From your profile, you can confirm a new email sign-in code and download a limited JSON copy of data linked to your account. The export omits precise check-in coordinates. You can also delete your account. Public farm and market listings may stay live without an owner after account deletion. See our Privacy Policy for details and our Terms of Service for usage terms.
